That’s why aging services leaders from across our state will come together on March 22-23, 2023 for the LeadingAge Nebraska Annual Conference & Expo. Across our education program, we’ll spend time talking about the issues and strategic priorities that matter to us most, and prominent experts will share their experience and vision that is certain to inspire us all. We will be offering a PRE-CONFERENCE program this year focused on owners, C-suite, Executive Directors and Board Members beginning at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, March 21, 2023. You must register for the Pre-conference separately from the Annual Conference. There will also be a Cocktail Hour later that evening, and a separate PAC Dinner to follow. More details below.

CONFERENCE AGENDA

NEW THIS YEAR: CONFERENCE APP

We are excited to announce that we will be using a conference app this year. In the app you will be able to check the agenda, locations, read speaker bios, read session descriptions, link directly to sponsor and exhibitor websites, and more. One huge advantage will be the ability for everyone to use the app to complete session evaluations - no more paper evaluations! The app will be free to download from both the Google Play and Apple app stores. Assistance with app download and navigation will be available at the conference. Stay tuned for more information!

KEYNOTE

We are excited to host Ralph Peterson as our opening Keynote speaker this year. Ralph Peterson is the owner and operator of a management development company that specializes in helping mission driven organizations build Five-Star Leadership teams within the long-term care industry. Ralph has more than 20 years in the trenches of senior management, organizational development and human resources in the long-term care industry. He has earned his Associate's Degree, two Bachelor's Degree and a Master's Degree in Organizational Leadership.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT SOCIAL

All conference attendees are invited to join us and our sponsor, RTG Medical, for an evening of relaxation and networking at Cunningham's on the Lake. From 6:00 - 8:30 pm, we will have dinner and drinks, time to hangout, and prizes! Cunningham's on the Lake is within walking distance of the hotel.

AWARD NOMINATIONS

We will be giving awards in the following categories: Lifetime Achievement, Excellence in Innovation, Excellence in Care and Service, Emerging Leader, & Friends of Long-term Care. Award recipients will be chosen by our selection committee and honored at our Annual Conference & Expo in Kearney, NE on March 22, 2023. The Awards ceremony is sponsored by Gold Business Associate McKesson.

EXPO

We have a dynamic variety of vendors participating this year in the Expo on day two of the conference. You will expect to see some familiar faces and also some new faces! But as always, get ready to learn, discover new solutions and get fresh ideas for your residents and staff!

CONFERENCE PRICING

*GROUP RATE DETAILS: With the group rate, member provider communities may register unlimited participants with one flat fee. Must provide names, titles and email addresses for all who will be attending on the registration form. This registration category is available to provider members only. (Individual communities within multi-site organizations are considered separate communities for purpose of applying discounts for multiple participants. The corporate headquarters of a multi-site organization is considered to be a community in this context and may apply the discount for multiple participants who are employed at the corporate headquarters.)

CANCELLATION POLICY

No refunds will be given for cancellations. Substitutions are accepted. However, if you cannot attend due to circumstances out of your control (such as exposure to/testing positive for COVID-19, a death in the family, or state surveyors in your community during the conference) and no substitute is available, a credit will be issued for you to use at a future LeadingAge Nebraska event. CONFERENCE ATTIRE

Our conference is relaxed but professional. We ask that you wear comfortable, business-casual attire. We also suggest wearing layers as temperatures can vary from room to room. 

CONTINUING EDUCATION

10.5 hours of continuing education from Nebraska DHHS Regulation and Licensure, Board of of NHA has been approved for the LeadingAge Annual Conference. Appropriate records will be maintained for other disciplines to receive credit from their credentialing organizations. 10.5 CE credits provided by IWCC, Iowa’s Board of Nursing Provider #6. This program has been approved for 10.5 CE hours, fulfilling the continuing education requirements of the Certifying Board for Dietary Managers (CBDM). Approval #: 167416. Granting prior approval does not constitute endorsement of the program content or its program sponsor.

LTC HEROES PODCAST

We are excited to have Peter Murphy Lewis from the LTC Heroes Podcast with us throughout the conference! He will be doing interviews and speaking throughout the Pre-conference and the Annual Conference. Be watching for Peter and his camera!

PRE-CONFERENCE DETAILS

We will be offering a Pre-conference program focused on owners, C-suite, Executive Directors and Board Members, beginning at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at the Holiday Inn Kearney. Participants will discuss implications of the past, where we are right now as a sector, and also take a look at the future of senior living. After the Pre-conference program there will be a Cocktail Hour for all attendees, brought to you by Silver Business Associate Northwest Respiratory. All participants of the Pre-conference program are invited to the Cocktail Hour. Information about the PAC Dinner is separate from other Tuesday activities.
