The Essentials of the LTC Director of Nursing Role virtual series will take place in three segments over the first half o f 2023 that will aid in developing the Director of Nursing (DON) role in nu rsing homes. Elements of this series will focus on budgeting and quality as surance; survey processes and regulations; and human resources, customer se rvice, and leadership. The March 29-30, 2023 two-day event is part 2 of the virtual series. This series is produced by LeadingAge Iowa.
Each seg ment of this series is designed to provide in-depth information and discuss ion on each topic without taking the series in a sequential order or taking all 3 sections of the series. By making each of the 3 segments standalone, you can better address succession planning by having individuals attend as their nurse leadership skills are identified. An additional section in thi s series will be added to the events calendar in June.
Who Sh ould Attend: LTC Administrators, Director of Nursing, Assistant Di rector of Nursing, and other nurse leaders. Appropriate for SNF providers.< /p>
Event Agenda:
The long-term care survey process can be very time-consuming and stressful for the Director of Nursing while the surveyors are on-site. This session will provide an overview of what to expect during the on-site survey, in an effort to prepare both mentally and physically.
