2026 Changemakers in Action: Advocacy & Legislative Reception
Every voice matters—but the most powerful voices are those that take action. We invite members to participate in the upcoming sessions leading up to our Advocacy Day on January 15th.
NOTE: You must register for each free advocacy event separately. The registration button above is for the January 15th advocacy events in Lincoln ONLY.
Session 4—January 15th Advocacy in Action & Legislative Reception (in-person)
LeadingAge Nebraska Members are invited to our annual Advocacy in Action Day in Lincoln. We will have a short welcome meeting at 9:30 am followed by a tour of the Capitol building. Members are encouraged to pre-arrange meetings with their senators and sit in on a hearing or session happening that day. Our reception will take place at the iconic Billy’s Restaurant, just steps from the Capitol. You will be able to choose one or all of the following activities when you register:
- Advocates Gathering- welcome, light refreshments, sponsor engagement, review of meeting plans- 9:30 am (location TBD) and Capitol Tour for advocates at 11 am
- Afternoon open for senator meetings, listening sessions, engagement
- Legislative Reception at Billy's Restaurant, 4:30-6:30 pm
