CMS Resource Reviews Hospice Levels of Care & SIA
CMS posted a new video to educate hospices on service intensity add-on (SIA) payments. The SIA allows hospices to bill for additional registered nurse and social worker visits during the last 7 days of a patient’s life in addition to the standard daily reimbursement. There are a number of expectations around this billing, and the video reviews what hospices need to know.
