AGENDA:

  • 8:30 - 10:00 am Opening Session: We’re Almost There! What’s Next? As long-term care and aging services organizations across the country emerge from the pandemic fog, we are starting to grapple more thoughtfully with what this has meant, where we are going, and what we need to be doing to remain viable and relevant into the future. Strategy is once again on our minds, but how to adapt and respond may be different – and more crucial – this time around.
  • 10:30 - 11:45 am Focus Topic Session: Come Together: Thinking about Collaborations, Affiliations, and Mergers If one thing has become abundantly clear over the last few years, going it alone is getting a lot harder. For long-term care and aging services organizations, now is a good time to start talking more about how we might partner more effectively and align for risk, efficiency, and – quite frankly – survival. But where to start? How does collaboration differ from affiliation? And am I leading the dance or being led?
  • 12:30 - 1:45 pm Focus Topic Session: Strategic Planning for LTC and Aging Services: A Roadmap for Managing Your Own Approach – Part 1 For many long-term care and aging services organizations, thinking about what’s next and where we go from here is on a lot of minds. Strategic planning has once again emerged as a vehicle to consider these questions and others. But what really is strategic planning and how do we do it?
  • 2:00 - 3:00 pm Focus Topic Session continued: Strategic Planning for LTC and Aging Services: A Roadmap for Managing Your Own Approach – Part 2
  • 3:15 - 4:15 pm Focus Topic Session: Everything Is Changing – What About Your Board? As long-term care and aging services organizations have innovated offerings and operations over the last several years, governance models and boards that should lead, inform, and govern have remained largely unchanged. While stability is important, just “doing the same old thing” with governance models, approach, or even composition shortchanges many organizations from the speed and agility necessary to navigate in the future. As our industry adapts, so must our thinking around governance.
