DESCRIPTION

New and veteran nursing home staff have indicated they need more opportunity to examine best practices for improving assessments and developing comprehensive care planning that ensures the health and well-being of their residents. This day-long virtual workshop, designed for the entire interdisciplinary team, will provide a comprehensive review for each of the 20 Care Area Assessments (CAAs), which establish the framework for developing, reviewing and revising residents’ comprehensive plans of care.

CONTINUING EDUCATION

4 hours of continuing education from Nebraska DHHS Regulation and Licensure, Board of NHA has been approved for this webinar. Appropriate records will be maintained for other disciplines to receive credit from their credentialing organizations. Nursing contact hours are NOT available for this webinar. FACULTY

Demi Haffenreffer, RN, MBA, President. Demi has made long-term care her profession since 1973, first as a Director of Nursing and 40 years as a consultant. She
has taught workshops nationally and internationally on a variety of subjects pertinent to Long-term and Community based Care and is highly sought after for her consulting expertise by nursing homes, assisted living and residential care communities in Oregon and around the country. WHO SHOULD ATTEND

Any staff member responsible for completion of any part of the MDS, including nursing, dietary, activities, social services, and medical records. Administrators will find the information provided in this class useful for understanding the impact of the MDS on facility systems and processes and well as impact on quality measures and star ratings.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellations must be received no later than 5 working days prior to the course to be refunded (Less a $25 service charge.) No refunds are possible after that date, but you are welcome to send someone in your place.
