Measles Prevention
Nebraska has a confirmed case of measles. This case was in a child in the Columbus area. The risk to aging services recipients is low due to immunity, however, staff members may still be at risk. Please see the CDC Infection Control Preparedness and Response in Healthcare Settings information page for information on how to prevent or respond to outbreaks.
Respiratory Illness on the Rise: Respiratory diseases in Nebraska are increasing this week including in healthcare settings. Providers are reminded to remind visitors of signs and symptoms that should prevent a visit from happening, using all infection control procedures and encourage vaccinations.
