Advocacy Update

We are on day 55 of the 60 day session… the HOME STRETCH! There have been some late nights and a number of contested issues. This week we heard a lot about AI data centers and the potential impacts on Nebraska along with a host of other issues.

Although the budget has been passed and presented to the Governor, we still have appropriations bills in various stages. There are still a number of priority bills that are yet to be debated. We have made some progress on the bills that are important to LeadingAge Nebraska members. We have had to play both offense and defense this session. You can find the current status of bills that are important to us here

We are already working on preparations for the next session with a variety of collaborators. We have been gathering information on areas of concern throughout the session and will continue to review this information in the interim.
