CDC Webinar and Resources on Respiratory Infection Outbreaks

The Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) will be hosting a webinar on January 27, Preventing and Responding to Respiratory Infections and Outbreaks in Long-Term Care. Presented by CDC’s Project FirstLine, this session will “provide the latest information on how to prevent and respond to respiratory infections and outbreaks in LTC facilities, including how to recognize a sick resident, considerations for testing, treatment, and vaccination, and infection prevention and control measures.” CDC also continues to update resources on respiratory infections, including the Viral Respiratory Pathogens Toolkit for Nursing Homes, that will be helpful for nursing homes and other providers in addressing flu, COVID, and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) outbreaks this winter.
